Vietnamese fashion and music show heads for Ukraine
The music and fashion show Khat Vong Tre (Young aspiration) will be staged outside Vietnam for the first time to raise money for the Nguyen Thai Binh Scholarship Fund and day boarding houses for children.
The sixth edition of the show, to take place on September 14 at Kharkiv Theater in Kharkov, is being organized by Thanh Nien newspaper, the Association of Vietnamese in Ukraine, and the Association of Vietnamese in Kharkov and will have the theme: Fatherland, Love and Aspiration.
As the show is intended for Vietnamese-Ukrainian people, especially the younger generations in the Eastern European country, Khat Vong Tre will feature noted young local and overseas Vietnamese artists and models.
The singers Ha Anh Tuan, Uyen Linh, Ta Quang Thang, Tieu Chau Nhu Quynh, Quang Dung and Dan Truong will perform with the Kharkov Symphony Orchestra while models like Thu Hang and beauty pageant winners like Diem Huong and Truong Thi May will show off the ao dai collections of fashion designers Lien Huong and Thuan Viet.
Khat Vong Tre was previously held in bigs cities in Vietnam like Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
According to Thai Huan, who directed the special five-hour show for the millennium of Thang Long Hanoi three years ago as well as last year’s show in Hanoi , the Ukraine edition will be four hours long, more than the usual length, as the Vietnamese living in Ukraine have few opportunities to enjoy the culture of their homeland in this fashion.
